Black History

Happy Black History Month ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

~Black people are so versatile and we come in sooo many different shades. It’s so easy for people to get caught up in complexion and comparisons not realizing no matter the complexion, we all share the same rich history.

~All shades of Black are beautiful & I admire how us as a people all share the same roots, history, culture, and ability to always overcome  and create something beautiful out of what’s given to us. Happy Black history Month my beautiful people!

Before Black History Month ends I had to pay tribute to Huey P. Newton: Co founder of the Black panther Party. Although the media just depicted them as a “violent gang”, which they weren’t a gang at all, the media failed to portray the many great things that they did. The Black Panther party did many things for the community including Free breakfast in the mornings for school children, established health clinics, SAFE which was a nonprofit program dedicated to keeping senior citizens safe, Free food programs and many other things.
Although the Black Panther Party wasn’t perfect, they are a part of black history that I will Always admire. ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
